Product Series / Model: 7ST101C / WPN-505 / WPN-506 / WPN-507 / RN and related grades
Hardeners in the factory range are assigned to different chemical systems and performance requirements. The ink/coating table and the adhesive table are separate. A common description such as “hardener” does not make their products interchangeable.
Product options and suitable applications
| Series / category | Product type | Selection note |
|---|---|---|
| 7ST101C | Solvent-system ink/coating hardener | Source identifies yellowing and adhesion-related characteristics qualitatively. |
| WPN-505 | Water-based ink/coating hardener | Listed in the printing SOP for specified stages. |
| WPN-506 / WPN-507 | Water-based system hardeners | Different finish and flexibility contexts. |
| HB-K / K-316 | Ink/coating hardeners | Specific clear-coat pairings appear in the source. |
| RN / SQ-7A / SQ-7B | Adhesive-related hardeners | Select only for the assigned adhesive/treatment system. |
What matters in a trial
- Record the base product model before selecting a hardener. Keep its category attached to any abbreviated model name.
- The source specifies mixing and working-life considerations. Obtain the current grade-specific instructions before preparing a trial batch.
- Gloss, flexibility, yellowing and heat behaviour differ between grades. Do not substitute one solely because its package or model name looks similar.
Technical data and documents
Request the current TDS and SDS for the exact model. Published catalogue properties depend on the product category and evaluation conditions; where the source does not establish a unit or complete test method, contact our technical team.
| Information | How to obtain it |
|---|---|
| Viscosity, application settings and conditioning | Contact our technical team for the exact grade. |
| Pretreatment and compatible products | Confirm against your actual substrate and process. |
| Testing information | Provide the required test method and acceptance criteria. |
Prepare your sample request
Include the substrate name and finish, printing or assembly process, current product and the problem you need to solve. A material offcut and a photograph of the finished construction help us distinguish appearance requirements from interface or flex failures.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use one hardener across inks and adhesives?
Only where the current product instructions explicitly support it. The source separates these categories.
Will more hardener always improve performance?
This website does not recommend changing the specified ratio. Discuss a failed test with the technical team and use an approved procedure.
