PU leather has a finish layer as well as a backing. A description of the backing alone can miss the surface that receives the ink. Send the actual material and state whether printing is followed by forming, topcoating or bonding.

Keep the chosen material, basecoat, colour layer and finish together during trials. Record any change so results can be traced to the actual construction. Confirm a successful factory trial before transferring the route to production.
