One-component or two-component?
SQ-72 and SQ-78 are water-based PU adhesives for footwear sole assembly and forming-related bonding applications. The key starting difference is their component system. Select a grade around both materials in the joint and your assembly process.

Describe the bond you need
A useful adhesive trial starts with both sides of the joint, not just the shoe component name.
- Materials: the two surfaces being bonded, including finishes or coatings.
- Assembly: cleaning and treatment steps, application method, drying and pressing equipment.
- Requirement: your current bonding problem and the test method or acceptance criteria.

Confirm the complete joint before switching products. A successful trial for fabric lamination does not establish performance for sole assembly.

Are SQ-72 and SQ-78 interchangeable?
No. SQ-72 is a two-component product and SQ-78 is a one-component product. Their application instructions and component requirements must remain separate.

Does water-based mean I can skip drying or surface preparation?
