
Printing and finishing TPU footwear components
Identify whether you are working with TPU film, a moulded component or a textile construction containing TPU. The surface and the finished component determine which preparation and printing system to evaluate.

Low-temperature flex needs a separate review
A Yunrui technical case records cracking with 7ST on a demanding substrate during low-temperature flex evaluation. The case considers 37H low-temperature ink and a water-based route as alternatives for testing.
These are trial options. Confirm the required temperature, test method and finished construction before selecting a grade. Test both the printed component and the assembled shoe where relevant.

Does every TPU component use the same preparation?
No. TPU film, moulded parts and textile constructions can need different preparation. Send the actual surface finish and material sample for review.
Can I use the ink selection for a bonding application?
A printing trial does not establish adhesive suitability. For bonding, send both materials and your assembly process so the adhesive and treatment can be evaluated together.
